The Reception will end with the Last Dance of the evening. It is common for a slow dance to be played as the Guests are encouraged to take their last opportunity to join the Bride and Groom on the dance floor. Sometimes the Guests are encouraged to surround the dance floor as the Bride and Groom dance in the center. It's not out of the ordinary for the Guests to sing along and join hands. Another popular approach to the Last Dance is announcing and conducting one song as a Last Dance for the Guests, then asking the Guests to leave the Reception area so that the Bride and Groom can have it to themselves for a Private Dance. Often times while the Bride and Groom are having a Private Dance in the Reception area the Guests distribute and light sparklers so that when the Dance is over the Bride and Groom can make a Grand Exit!
